Sean O’Mara, founder and creative director for Los Angeles-based Royal Apothic, was browsing a Notting Hill antique stall when he saw the most amazing thing. Tucked away high upon a shelf, sat an Eighteenth Century apothecary manual filled with recipes for scents and other concoctions, many of which had long ago been made for great monarchs of Europe.
Drawing on his years of experience and expertise in the luxury beauty field, Sean returned home to the US and set to work conjuring the long lost, complex recipes listed within the manual. Royal Apothic began with a simple book and is now one of the fastest growing lifestyle brands offering luminaries, perfumes, luxury soaps and lotions with much, much more to come.
